Artfully AWARE utilises the artistic talents of our own AfA Consultants as well as the community members we work with to advance our mission by organising and participating in events. Examples are festivals, music concerts, theatre performances, art exhibitions and markets, fashion shows, film screenings, sporting challenges and our own unique participatory events called Art in Action (AiA).

Advocacy is a strong part of our mission, and our aim is to increase awareness of social, cultural and economic challenges within the communities we work in. While being a form of entertainment, our Advocacy Events are educational and enlightening to guests and members of the public.

Fundraisers are events that Artfully AWARE organises in order to raise funds for specific programmes and projects as well as being a showcase for what we do. We are extremely clear in providing detailed information for what we are fundraising for at these events.

"Artfully AWARE's Summer Gala"

Our first annual NYC Gala, hosted by the Moore Brothers Wine Company, was a great success. Our guests smiled, laughed and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, food and wine-tasting. We were able to raise awareness of our efforts in Africa and in the United States. We thank our guests for their generous financial and personal support.

Special thanks to our Board Members, John Coonrod and Shari Gruber and to our entertainers: dancers Elizabeth Aguilar, Angela Badolato, Zompantli and the African troupe TWOPA.
